I had a dream where this happened to me. And I was that one shape-shifting mutant. Which was interesting ‘cause I was a girl in the dream and I’m a GIRL (Guy IRL).
 
I was tied up in a really weird way so I could climb a wood structure a few feet away from the fire, though, but that was it, and it would soon reach me. Even still, I was too focused on being terrified of the fire to say anything to the people. I think they were mutant-haters or something, I had nothing to say to them, I’d just accepted they were my mortal enemies.
 
I only got into the shtick because I’d trusted someone to hide me, who gave me away. I ended up getting saved, somehow, though, I think they came through for me in the end, turning back their betrayal.
 
All things considered, I’d really prefer the American way of hanging as opposed to burning >.< I cannot imagine a worse way to die.
 
Or rather, it’s difficult, I should say, to imagine a way worse than burning that doesn’t involve burning.
