Okay, thank you very much for the advice. I am using the black lines as part of my new style though and I have to draw simple poses because otherwise I can’t fit the picture on one page. I find it hard to draw small.

Had a better look at this.
 
I’ll say two things here.  
First, to do translucent effects, I’ve found it’s better to only use the colour. Don’t do hard lines on the parts at the back.  
The dividers on the train on my comic page here are an example of what I mean.  

 
I’ve used the same technique on Sonata’s wings here too.  

 
The other thing I’ll say is, try drawing some more dynamic poses.  
Whilst this is certainly better drawn than many of your early ones, (and it’s probably one of your best so far), the pose is a bit…. wooden.  
I’ve noticed this with a lot of your drawings.
