Meh, I just am a fan of EqG. I love seeing the characters as humans. Also, there’s plenty of stuff that keeps in touch with the show. Mature themes, memes, references, the works. They can also do storylines in the human world that they can’t in the pony world, and vice versa, making them compliment each other well.

Because going from what’s basically a more girly version of D&D with magical creatures to humans in High School shenanigans with a lick of magic is pretty much one. And that’s for starters.

Not denying that. However, that doesn’t mean that EqG is keeping with Faust’s vision in any way, especially if she never had anything to do with it.

I disagree that EqG as a whole is an antithesis. Though there are bound to be several spin offs like this.

Dear diary,  
Today was really weird. That boy I said I had a crush, well apparently he got on the wrong side of some people called “Bronies” or something strange like that and now he’s been avoiding me like a snake avoids a mongoose. And when I finally do get to talking to him, all he does is scream saying stuff like “OH SWEET JESUS I DON’T WANT TO DIE!” and then goes off down the hallway yelling things like “SHE CAME UP TO ME! I DIDN’T DO ANYTHING WITH HER!” Boys are really strange sometimes.

The very concept of Equestria Girls in general it’s pretty much the antithesis of Faust’s vision.
 
But well, I think the point of Canterlot High Tell-All, is just being a gossip funfest anyway, so it’s no wonder there’s a lot of focus on crushes .

Canterlot High Tell-All sure spends a lot more time on crushes and jazz than other MLP stuff. Even other EQG stuff, which only really has Flash Sentry afaik (at least, the EQG stuff I’ve seen). Not sure this is in keeping with Faust’s vision…

Well, I was mostly joking, but admittedly you’ve got (1) a tomboy (2) without a declared crush (3) even though every other major character admits to having a crush of some sort… Granted, there’s probably a page I haven’t seen yet where Scootaloo talks about that cute guy with the inline skates.
