You can NOT copyright a proper name… i.e. Coke, Coca-Cola etc… Or close in this case Boss, Hillfinger, or Chanel. These are Trademarks, and in the given case of how closely related (to the form of parody and fair use), Coco Pommel to IRL Coco Chanel… Is in fact probably too close to be used officially (i.e. Toyline), with out upsetting some lawyers somewhere. Since such originations depend upon their Trademarks to do business. If they were apt to let it slide then such an orginazion would be jeopardizing the validity of their Trademark, and so risk losing it forever.
 
So learn the difference between Trademarks, and Copyrights (much like like the difference between Slander, and Liable), it could save a life.

That’s actually a good idea, what I find silly about the copyright claim is that “coco” it’s a common word in Spanish (which means “coconutt” in English), therefore, I guess Hasbro could use this fact to avoid the copyright.

I’d ruffle that messy mane and get her a warm blanket.

I bet they’ll find some way to get around copyright, like they did with Big Mac. Like, depending on the scene, she can be “Coco” or “Miss Pommel”, but never “Coco Pommel”.
