Please, if you find one black person that has remotely the same personality close to Scootaloo, give me a call. We are different, and we behave different. We are different races.  
I imagine Scootaloo being white, therefore I’d enjoy seeing her white.
 
But, a character like Zechora, that’s when you can start using some other colors, because it would be relatable to her and her character.

Um, I was asking Chris188 that and using his own words; I was wondering if he had any reason stronger than “The voice actress is white” or “It’s based on European history/mythology”, which are the best reasons I’ve seen given so far. Personally, I don’t care to think much about humanizations of ponies, partly for this reason, but Scootaloo is one of the ponies I’m mostly likely to picture as darker-skinned.
