Well, since all the ponies in the story are depicted as ponies in the Mane Six’s current time, it’s not impossible this pony depicting Flintheart couldn’t be alive now. Maybe he was the potions professor at Princess Celestia’s School for Talented Unicorns, which Twilight attended? ;)
