The BUCK OC Britannia, supposed to be holding a photo album, although that’s not clear here I know.
Just a thanks from me to all those that made the event something to remember.
Here’s hoping the BUCK events aren’t truly finished yet.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see a smaller scale event in a couple of years or so perhaps.

I got my Snowdrop for £80 and it’s the nicest plushie in my house (My sister has about 14 billion plushies)
I’d have payed £60-£80 for a decent Octavia plushie. There just weren’t any there.
Yes, that is the price for hand-made plushies. They are not mass-produced, they are made with love and care by individual makers, and so there are far less of them going around.
When I got to the vendors room, I think there wasn’t a single plushie for under £80.
(Aside from one vendor that had a B A B Trixie. Got that for my daughter).
I was hoping to get hold of an Octavia and/or a Lyra plush for myself.
No joy there.
Up to press, I’ve only got 2 Octavia ones. Those ‘spaghetti mane’ things.
Small one on my PC desk, and a bigger one which I’m surprised my missus hasn’t nicked yet.
(She prefers Fluttershy anyway, with Rarity coming in second).
If I remember correctly, there were 4 plushies left when I went round the vendor hall.
Applebloom, £80
Nightmare Moon, £280-ish
Chrysalis, (Don’t think that one was for sale- the stall was taking commissions)
And a Celestia, which I didn’t see the price for.
The factory plushies were banned from BUCK 2016 because other UK cons had issues with illegal plushies stealing all the sales from the actual makers. We wanted BUCK to be community-friendly and supportive of artists, and allowing illegal plushies to be sold in our vendor room is neither of those things.

All our fault. We spent all our time at the con talking to eachother and forgot to take part in the con itself!
Oh, I didn’t mean anything by that; I was making a Fallout Boys reference XD
Admittedly the convention could have been more interesting for me, but meeting others from here in person made it worthwhile going.
Several things could have been implemented which would have made the convention better from my point of view.
Firstly, there weren’t enough vendors in the sales part of the con. I expected a couple of the stalls to be selling those factory plushies, but the only ones available were custom ones, at high prices.
Secondly, (and this was partly my own fault), we missed a few interesting things when we went for lunch. Should’ve checked the guide before making decisions.
Easy to be wise in hindsight…
Third, I could have fetched that pony themed marine army in and had a game there. There were tables suitable for this about the place. I like the chance to show off, and whilst that gunship model got some attention, the whole army would have gained considerably more.
Lastly, I should have had a look at that retro gaming event.
(Although if there was an old N64 with Lylat Wars on it, I’d have flattened everyone on the skirmish. Never been beaten on that game).
