Mmiri and her sisters have an incredible Pronking Day filled with fun and stuff like jumping and skipping and runnin’ around like crazy. Just because they can and because it’s fun!
In actuality, Springboks do seem to just jump, run and Pronk around merrily for seemingly no reason other than to just have fun.
It is quite bizarre-looking and quite interesting to watch.
Some researches believe the Springbok does this behavior along with extending a white furred skin flap just in front of it’s tail, in order to deter and scare away predators. Very interesting actually!
