This is a great start, PaperPonyArt :)

Your drawings have a lot of character and expression, and your eyes have some expressive shading and highlights!

You’ve also grasped one of the “rules of cute drawings” - the neck line starts right below the center of the eye of the character. For some reason, this is the “sweet spot” for that line in a lot of manga and anime.

If you get a chance, grab some laser printer paper or photocopier paper - it will have a higher “white point” that will make the pencil show up much better, and will make your drawings “pop” even more. It will also resist eraser marks a lot better. Not as well as some of the higher price art papers, but I think you will find that even photocopier paper will give you a nicer drawing surface.

When you photograph your drawings, try having a white piece of paper behind your drawing too - that will help make it stand out better against whatever it is sitting on, and will really help your drawings stand out better. Otherwise digital cameras have a tendency to photography “right through” the paper, and show some of the wood grain of the table that the drawing is on.

But - you can ignore all of these suggestions if you want: the important thing is that you are drawing, and that your drawings have a lot of character and expression!

Above all, keep drawing every day!

And feel free to ignore anything anyone like me says; your job is not to fit into our ideas of what good art are - your job is to invent NEW ideas about art :)
