At this point I don’t think we’ll ever find out what happend to Madmax. I personally think she’s dead by now, especially considering that she supposedly wound up homeless. I do think it’s a shame that the fandom wasn’t able to help her though, especially when you look at stuff like what happend to Keyframe and see how the fandom has helped other bronies in need.

Short version, I just have optimism that her name carried enough weight to do more than what actually got done, regardless of whatever you think is realistic or reasonable.
 
She was/is just as influential to this fandom as Joseco, Pixelkitties, MegaSweet, Egophiliac and Carnifex, and could’ve/should’ve had comparable success.

it’s sad that with money you spend all of your labor working for someone you either don’t know, or hate, and none of it helping your friends, or people who do things you like. it’s not even survival; it’s throwing away your survival to prop up the rich.

Considering Madmax was one of the longest and most consistent artists of the fandom, I’ll always consider it our greatest collective failure for not being able to help her out. She only got to stream once or twice, and never even got to go to a con, even if she was in South America. We’ve had artists get out of the game, but nobody I can think of faded out like that.
