Not sure about old Fausts headcanons, but for the main headwriter and person responsible for official lore in this series, Rarity is a “grown up” as in over 18. That include Mane6 as they are all in similar age. Along with a 3 year passage in the series. None of the can be younger than 21.

Yeah agreed. And I’m getting tired of people using it against Spike as if he’s not justified in his pursuit/feelings or somehow this can’t apply to anyone else. Until the information is canon we should lay off the headcanon.

Dunno why everyone brings up main character ages. We don’t know how old they are officially, so I don’t exactly take the ‘age difference’ arguement seriously. Besides, the main cast seem to slip between whatever age the writers deem convenient for the episode. For the most part they certainly don’t act like mature adults in thier early/mid twenties I’m constantly told they are

Oh, I’m not in denial about that. The difference is that the gap between Ember and Spike is much smaller than that of Spike and Rarity. Neither of them would have to wait nearly as long for Spike to come of age.

B) It’s better than “confirmed grown up mares” as stated by the writing staff when asked about possibility of Sparity  
It’s the closest ship to his legal age beside SpikeBelle
