Are people gonna bring up the Tirek fight for everything even though the circumstances are totally different.
Well, in most fantasy worlds dragons, at least to some degree, are immune to direct magical attacks…
That seems legit, I mean what is a dragon compared to an alicorn who owned a demon lord (Tirek)
I think they didnt want to help Spike because that would be cheating and that they wanted to avoid a diplomatic incident (that would have been akin as a foreign country supporting and doing everything to help the candidate of their choice to be elected)Plus they wanted to be around to be sure that he’s not injuring himself and if that happened,bringing him back to Ponyville (the race be damned as long as they kept Spike out of harm way)
They were the comic relief basically.
Also Dragons are apparently just really strong and there were LOTS of them.
Because they needed to fit a couple of the Mane 6 to make up for not showing then last episode.
