I’m imagining Twilight trying to get Applejack to tone it down by teaching her telekinesis. Cool, But Inefficient, at least for an Earth Pony.

Sure, you could replace earth ponies with unicorns and their magic, but those unicorns would have to focus on that one spell full-time, when you could do pretty much the same thing with earth ponies but with much less energy expenditure.
But who cares about that, magic is fucking awesome, unicorn master race!
Any pony type can emulate the magic of any other pony type, but it’ll be far, far less energy-efficient than just getting a pony of the appropriate type to use it natively. This spell is a unicorn magic emulation of something earth ponies can do natively.
I mean I think she had a lot to begin with already.

Nah, that was just butterfly-magic. If they had Stamina-magic, Twilight would’ve used that, like, ten times by now; she could cast it to give another pony the ability to run without tiring, after all, and that could be infinitely helpful.
I assumed it was part of the spell needed for Rarity to fly…oh, and that’s pegasus magic recreated, too, right? As well as when Rarity was moving the clouds (even if she’s not good at it). Wow, no wonder the “unicorn master race” movement arose, and their arrogance in the Hearth’s Warming Eve era…
Wait, when the heck has stamina-magic been used?
There’s been “momentum spells”, but that’s not magic to increase a pony’s stamina…

To be fair to Twilight with the orange frog that one was partially Pinkie Pies fault.
And the Parasprites. And that orange-frog…thing. And…almost anything that Twilight tries to do other than basic unicorn spells.

Unicorn magic is a bit like nuclear power; powerful, usually safe, pretty versatile, but when things go wrong, things go very, very wrong.
It’s a perversion of the natural order, I tell ya hwat! It’ll take an army of highly trained and skilled unicorns to MAYBE produce one crop worth harvesting - whereas only a few earth ponies would be needed to tend a farm.
I just tend to think that humanized earth ponies have larger chests than others. With the exception of outliers like Flutters.
Ha, potentially both! But flower magic, yeah. Super strength and stamina can already be recreated through magic.

Which in itself is a gigantic flaw in the show’s world.
She’s just upset that the one thing earth ponies have going for them can be duplicated through unicorn magic.
