Wow, from this picture, I can now compare the Mane 6 to the 6 survivors then Future Foundation Members of the first game. (Based on my experience, and I had an opinion based on the facts I’ve seen for both series)
 
Fluttershy -> Makoto Naegi  
(The voice of reason, weaklings who turn strong to protect friends all of the sudden, also easy targets as victims yet got out everytime (But Fluttershy is still more shy than him))
 
Twilight Sparkle -> Kyoko Kirigiri  
(The genius, most talented, most calm and serious, most deserving to be a leader of the 6, purple straight hairs (But Twilight still has poorer sanity check than her))
 
Rainbow Dash -> Byakuya Togami  
(The most anti-heroic, the most vulgar, most arrogant, the most territorial, but still willing to fight for good (But Rainbow Dash is less vulgar and more loyal than him))
 
Rarity / NM Rarity -> Toko Fukawa / Genocide Jill  
(Potential femme fatales, enjoy scissors, perfectionists, having each a murderous alter ego in canon (But Rarity is far less corruptible and less fatal than her))
 
Applejack -> Aoi Asahina  
(A little of stubborns, both are athletes in each their own way, both friendly optimists, but may loose temper on arguments, express strong sadness over others’ misfortunes (But Applejack cry less than her))
 
Pinkie Pie -> Yasuhiro Hagakure  
(Comedic Relief, both are random and still innocently random, may look like idiots to other people, can also loose temper on arguments (But Pinkie is overall smarter than him))
