So, it is canon that earth ponies have magic, it gives them strength, and allows them to tend the land. We've seen a handful of instances in the show that involved them making plants grow super-quickly.


 
However, the show hasn't confirmed any of the awesome fearth-s performeld by eartedh poniestuff we've seen as being earth pony magic. Like the stuff Maud does, the stuff Pinkie Pie and Cheese Sandwich do, and any instance of **massive** super-strength in the show, such as Big Macintosh pulling a house in Hearts And Hooves Day, or Lilly Longsocks's super-strength. Are those abilities attainable by _*all_* earth ponies, should they train hard enough? That's the big question.


 
I **really** wish this show would show us some awesome earth-related stuff and immediately confirm it as being earth pony magic. Just like ==\*snaps fingers\*== that, this show's racial balance issues will go out the window.... but the writers seem to be content with repeatedly showing us that having a horn and/or wings simply makes you better. ==\*sigh\*==
