….. i am kinda going at the idea that the crystal heart had severaly weakened over the last thousand years. this was the first crystalling in a LONG time. so it was fragile.
now with the crystalling, it is probably a lot more baby alicorn resistant
I think that ponies are jsut badass and tough by nature. They can manipulate the weather, have supe strenght, and spells. Geenralyl they kick ass.
Event\ually they managed to tame areas in the world. Though still, some intense weather elsewhere.
Good thing there are scions of justice and magical power to keep that shit in check. Otherwise like literally every denizen of hell and multi-dimensional Lovecraft BS would just storm the gates of Canterlot and the Crystal Empire and burn it all to the ground.
Well, Equestria being a “death-world for ponies that they barely keep habitable through magic” is a long-established canon. Apparently the Crystal Empire being missing for a 1000 years has made the far north even more inhospitable than normal.
That might be a good reason on why ponies have to be responsible for nature in their world.
