She spent years of her life working on her project in order to make everyone happier, and then after a single day, some strangers came in and made them start rejecting her philosophy (which she really thought was for the betterment of all). She was feeling rejected and unappreciated, so of course she'd get angry. She's arrogant, believing that it was only because of her that they were able to have such "harmony", but that doesn't change the fact that she truly believed in her crusade.
