Well, she did put her arm around Scoots, and invited them to her pool party, among other brief moments in the ep’. At times, she & Spoon were even trying to help make the CMC more popular, and make them become more llike themselves. (Look at their faces when Sweetie says they have to leave their pool party.) So despite their alterior motives, there were times they seemed kinda friendly with the CMC, and actually enjoyed being around them. (Not that they would even admit to enjoying their company.)
 
I can’t really see Tiara being that manipulative, she’s just a kid. Plus, she’s been shown to have a softer side at times. (Like how she genuinely cares about her Dad.) Though, it seems implied in “Raiders” that she tries to hide her vulnerable side in fear of seeming weak.

I’m not convinced that they were genuinely trying to be friends with the CMC and weren’t just trying to get close to Princess Twilight. We know that Diamond Tiara is pretty good at manipulation, that could have all been part of her plan.

Taking their “heel face turn” into account, there’s a part of me that thinks Spoon & Tiara actually genuinely enjoyed their time with the CMC, despite their motives. They even at times in “Twilight Time” were trying to help them become popular like they were.

1: “One Bad Apple” had nothing to do with racial violence.
 
2: Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon were not demonstrating that they were friends of the CMC in “Twilight Time”, they were using them to spend time with Princess Twilight.
 
3: You need to keep in mind that Apple Bloom was the main driving force towards helping Diamond Tiara out when Silver Spoon got tired of her bad attitude. Skip towards the end of the episode and, once again, Apple Bloom leads the CMC to earn their cutie marks by suggesting that they quit worrying about getting them. There is a reason that Apple Bloom has always been the unofficial leader of the Cutie Mark Crusaders.

Applebloom no es una buena pony por haber demostrado una pésima líder en “La Mala Semilla”. La culpa la tuvo la propia Cindy Morrow, quien en verdad era una pésima guionista, por lo que el episodio promueve el odio y la violencia racial antiblanca. En la “Hora de Twilight”, Tiara de Diamantes y Silver Spoon demostraron que en realidad eran amigas de las Crusaders al invitar a Applebloom, Sweetie Belle y a Scootaloo a su fiesta de piscina. En la “Marca de las Crusadas” se revela que Tiara de Diamantes era victima de los abusos que sufría por parte de su madre Spoiled Rich, quien no quería que su hija se socialice con los demás. Gracias a Applebloom, Tiara de Diamantes logró liberarse y defendió a las Crusaders. Parece que Tiara de Diamantes ha demostrado ser mejor líder que Applebloom. Babs Seed, luego de obtener su Cutie Mark de tijeras en vez de ser una Cutie Mark de semillas como yo creí que iba a ser, sólo fue mencionada en “Bloom y Glossom”, además de aparecer durante unos microsegundos en “Visita a Ponyville”. Por lo tanto, Babs Seed sigue siendo un dolor de cabeza para Tiara de Diamantes y Silver Spoon.

Apple Bloom was the filly that initially suggested they should go and check on Diamond Tiara. The same can be said for the ending when she pointed out that they end up helping other ponies when they aren’t worrying about getting their own cutie marks. I’m not trying to give Apple Bloom all of the credit, but she is the unofficial leader of the Cutie Mark Crusaders for a reason.

I think they all helped her, so it’s kinda hard to give one most of the credit. Though, I liked the irony that they earned their marks by helping Tiara. When you think about it, if it wasn’t for her, the CMC wouldn’t of met.

I feel like that has always been the case. You can’t imagine how happy I was that Apple Bloom was the main driving force for the reformation of Diamond Tiara (after Silver Spoon had enough of her crap) and for the Cutie Mark Crusaders earning their cutie marks at the end of the episode.

Nice to see, seems like lately Sweetie & Scoots get all the attention.
