Unless it’s this, I guess? Well I guess past a certain age it’s still secondary.
Some viewers saw it as pointless and “overly violent” in a show about magic and friendship and cute talking ponies. Remember, it’s a children’s cartoon first. You are the secondary audience, and always will be.

What? Who didn’t? That was made of pure awesome.
Probably more a separate series like EqG.
Probably sarcasm, but I could be wrong. MLP is for small children.
Nope, because that line is for describing what sort of product is trademarked.
There is separate trademark application for Guardians of Harmony’s “toy ponies and accessories for use therewith”.
*70’s
I’ll let it slide this time but don’t ever do that again.
I’m not disagreeing. As I’ve said, I’m just having fun conjecturing.
You have to file separate trademarks for separate contexts. Friendship is Magic covers a show, a toy line, movies, etc. and needs to be trademarked separately for all of them.

Interestingly, Friendship Is Magic‘s trademark itself uses the same verbiage.
I’m most curious about why they filed a separate trademark. I noticed a trend about the toy trademarks, specifically. It looks like they are filed in the year prior to the release of any media. The first Guardians of Harmony trademark was filed last year. If there is anything coming at all, I wonder if it’s coming later this year?
I’m not expecting anything, but it’ll be curious if it’s FiM proper or a new show. (Considering “Explore Equestria” is FiM’s theme this year, I do wonder…)
What, seeing Shining Armor as Starlord?
Right? I’m tryring to remember some of the songs used in that movie.
Actually it seems that entertainment services, namely, an ongoing animated television series for children is a standard phrase used by several business for their trademarks.
Hasbro used it way back in 1998 for a trademark titled TONKA JOE. Tonka Joe is a character from Tonka, which is a line of electronic toys based on military vehicles and, so far as I know, has never had a memorable cartoon series (but it did have a few movies.)
In addition, a company named HZKI Holdings, LLC holds a trademark Keep On Dreaming with this exact same description.
I thought the story was that EqG wasn’t canon in the FiM show’s universe, but was canon in the FiM featured in the movie? Maybe I’m misremembering. Either way, I’m certain they said the movies weren’t canon towards the show.
See, I didn’t say EQG “wasn’t canon”. I said it wasn’t canon to the show, i.e. to Friendship is Magic, which it isn’t.
They’re fiction. None of them are real and none of them happened. They don’t have any physical force that requires them to both exist if either does.
Equestria Girls is a separate canon from the show, and the main show doesn’t recognize it, i.e. it is not canon to the show
Using the waybackmachine I have found that the show itself was already described as being ongoing when it hadn’t even aired, so… that word might mean nothing at all.
