Ancient Aztecs used to make skulls and little figurines out of a grain called amaranth and honey. Then, they will eat them after dipping them in the blood of their fallen enemies. Nowadays, people in Mexico eat candy skulls made of amaranth, sugar or chocolate. Unfortunately, modern society frowns upon the idea of consuming human blood nowadays.
