Luckily I found out in time that 29th of February is Discord Day on EQD, and as I really love this draconequus I had to draw something for it. It’s a day that only comes every four years, after all.
I suppose that’s true. It’s not much, but I’ll take it.
To be fair, it’s not quite as predictable as “every 4 years”… there’s the “not if it’s divisible by 100, unless it’s ALSO divisible by 400” thing in there just to muck it all up a bit more.
Though it does have going for it that it only occurs on US presidential elections years.

No, declaring an arbitrary day to be Discord Day apropos of nothing is right on the money. The mistake is picking one day where you do it on a regular, predictable basis.
And the idea of just suddenly declaring a holiday out of nowhere for no reason, is pretty dumb to begin with.
We already have dumb crap like “zecora day” and “Rarity day” and “Derpy day”, it’s just…why? Holidays are meant to signify something special about that day, not something to just randomly declare on a whim.
