It always seemed odd to me that Blueblood is perceived as younger than Cadance - he’s the same size and build as Big Mac. Now size alone isn’t a perfect indicator, true, but it meshes more seamlessly with him being older than Rarity rather than her age (Twi’s age). He should be contemporary with Cadance, Mac, Shining, that generation, at least in my estimation.
In truth, who knows, it is all speculation. But it feels more organic than to have him be mane six gen.

Guess you have a point, but Hermione/Krum from Harry Potter squicked me out tbh. But wouldn’t that be something, if Blueblood acted the way he did partly because he didn’t even see Rarity as a serious romantic prospect?
