Well, how else can I explain the awesomeness of spike, other than quoting a spike fan who accurately describes what makes the character great. Your journal pretty much describe why I like the character.

@Itsthinking I know! I like Applejack just fine, but spike what I like about spike is,“He’s kind, considerate, dependable, dilligent, benevolent, innocent, adorable and funny. Above all, he’s such a little boy. He does his own thing, tries to be mature and to be a gentleman, he’s a tad naive at times, but at the same time he’s much more clever than he gives himself credit for. He is a good example of a boy character in a girl’s show, that isn’t stupid, insufferable or both. He’s so reliable and compliant, that everypony just seems to take him for granted.”
 
The writers don’t use him to his full potential, and usually dump a lot of physical comedy on him, which usually seems mean-spirited than funny.

How could i forget my first favorite character in the show?

Poor spike, I really do feel bad that not too many bronies like him. I will see some fans who do like the character, and deem him as their favorite. But those fans are a slim. there aren’t many. Give the poor baby dragon some love

Of I course didn’t forget about you spikey-wikey, the most underrated, but one of the most enjoyable characters on the show
