Somebody talking about Redwall in 2017? Holy shit. ( I mean no offense by this, just really fuggin surprised and happy)

And now that the comments have been bumped, I also want to see how big an omnibus book of the entire Redwall series would be. (I have all 22 books now. It takes up slightly more than an entire shelf.) I’m also sad to see that even more than five years after the last one, they haven’t made a collector set. :<

Ah right. I think it could be done, but it would be bigger than these B&N volumes - probably about twice the page size, and also twice the thickness. Think like a so-called “coffee-table book”, but about 2000 pages thick. :P

I mean, yeah, no, I wouldn’t buy one myself (I burnt out on the series by book six) but I wanna see if it could even be done in a way that was both eyes-on-the-page readable and book-can-actually-be-used-without-breaking-at-the-spine readable.

I’ve wanted a Harry Potter omnibus edition ever since I finished reading book 7. I even emailed the publishers to ask them to consider it. Unsurprisingly, they never got back to me, probably thought I was mad… :P

Seeing all those collections spine to spine… it fills you with determination it makes me wants to see how big a full collection of Harry Potter might potentially be, theoretically feasible if you used larger pages and smaller print.

Yeah, that big-ass omnibus edition of Narnia is my most favourite of all my books. I also have a big-ass omnibus of all the Oz stories (right next to it) which is my second-favourite book. :D  
Most of the rest are merely collected works of their authors, but are not complete collections. (There are a couple more that are complete, such as the pink Alice volume has everything by Carroll).
 
If you want to get the Narnia omnibus, it was published by Barnes and Noble, but has been out of print for a few years - I had to search high and low for a new copy from other sites. I think I got it off Alibris.com in the end…

I did notice you have what looks like a neat little one-book omnibus of Narnia. I should get one of those; I have one for the Dark is Rising series and its really nice having it all in one thing. (Though makes it even harder to put it down.)
