Traditionally, praying ancestors and local deity is an important part during New Year. I remembered when I was little, my parents and grandparents would always bring me to a big temple of Taoism or Buddhism and pray for family’s safety and prosperity. I did not do that in recent years though, because I don’t really like participating in religious activities. But my mom and grandma still does it nevertheless.”
