Rainbow definitely wouldn’t like this punishment! I don’t know how the simple-mindedness of that would be an issue, considering this is the cartoon physics we are talking about!
I can kind of agree with some things but you’re taking it way too far.
A little annoying because the trope of “gets stopped right as she goes to take a bite every time” is kinda old, and, I dunno, the one eye closed and other eye spinning, sorta limp, mouth just open - that actually comes off as slightly disturbing to me O.o
Even though it’s clearly cartoon physics so not serious - but still, it looks pretty bad.
Also, Starlight Glimmer committed genocide? Really now? Ah, forget it, I’ve argued this enough, I think most people agree that that’s pretty extreme and unreasonable, and that’s all that really matters. She ain’t no Stalin or Mussolini. Colt leader, yes, kool-aid type colt leader? Not quite. She just got a hold of way more power than she was responsible enough to use wisely/safely and had far more devastating consequences than she ever foresaw. It wasn’t malice, it was ignorance. Plus, those timelines were undone, so literally never happened, lol.

So what your argument boils down to is “I don’t like the ending cause it wasn’t exactly how I wanted it so the artist/s can go fuck themselves” bravo such logic I’m glad we have Anons like you here to give such insightful opinions. Hurt was in quotation marks because it’s a cartoon you know as in not real as in this was for comedy and not serious if this kinda thing upsets you you must have had a boring childhood because there is no way you watched any of the classic cartoons or if you did you must have been maximum triggered all the time.
And no it isn’t hypocritical of me to defend the artist who is a real person from someone who’s upset their imaginary waifu didn’t get away with thievery if you don’t like his animation because of that then filter the artists tag and move on we don’t care if you think the artist should go fuck themselves that’s not valid criticism it’s shitposting.
So what? The result would have essentially been the same even if she had owned up to her mistakes (as was the case in those episodes) and Rainbow Dash did have to own up to her mistakes in Read It And Weep when she stole the Daring Do and the Quest for the Sapphire Stone book from the hospital.

I never said that other ponies don’t deserve being punished for their crimes. Starlight Glimmer and Twilight Sparkle had to own up to their mistakes in both of those episodes that you have pointed out. Rainbow Dash never did get confronted about sabotaging critical equipment in Cloudsdale that provides weather for a large portion of Equestria. It doesn’t matter if she took one or a whole bucket full of Zap Apples, the animation makes it clear that her intent was to take the apple without asking permission. Theft is theft no matter how you try and justify it.
Starlight Glimmer committed genocide in her attempt to fuck up another pony’s life and yet was “redeemed” and got away without a even slap on the wrist. Twilight got away with making the town’s ponies beat each other up when she cast the want-it need-it spell on her doll in Lesson Zero, and that could have ended up far worse than a few bruises had Celestia not intervened… Are you forgetting those incidents were worse than simply sabotaging a factory? A factory can be rebuilt… Can ponies lives? I think not.
A Zapp Apple may be “extremely” rare but it can still be regrown… Also, RD only took one rather than all of them… Did you catch that detail?

Dashie’s punishments should never have proportional distribution… She’s a bad pony and needs to learn! Rainbow Crash needs to get punished!
I think you are taking this way too seriously. How many times have we seen Rainbow Dash do things that should be considered crimes in the actual show (Sabotage the Weather Factory) and not even get a slap on the hoof? These are cartoon physics we are talking about so common sense would tell you that she wouldn’t be seriously injured. In case you didn’t catch this detail, the apple that Rainbow Dash stole from one of her best friends is a Zap Apple and those should be considered extremely rare as the Apple family is the only ponies we know that grow them and they are not easy to harvest.

Maybe I hate seeing wasted potiental e.g. finding out if this hypothesis was correct:
just to get this ending instead, which feels like a cop out by the studio due to not exploring their idea as to what a Zapp Apple would do if eaten, maybe I hate seeing them ignore the fact that Dash is hyper-aware, as shown in Testing Testing 123 and would have noticed if there was wooden sign in front of / behind her, maybe as you stated, RD is my “waifu” and I just didn’t like it because she got injured quite badly, maybe I just generally hated that ending, maybe it’s all of those things combined or neither of those things… I think I’ve dug my supposed “hole” deep enough and given you a “laugh”, so I’ll leave you to use your own inclinations as to which one is the actual reason, as clearly I’m too much of a “stupid”, “clueless person” to know…
I honestly think stuff like getting hurt is the only way that Rainbow Dash can actually learn her lesson sometimes.
