Fair enough. Actually, that’s some decent food for thought. Look at Twilight’s momentary lapse into villainy in EQG. Even when she’d basically lost her mind from magic overload, she still made it quite clear that what she sought was ultimate knowledge. Writing genius villains is hard. It kinda requires that the author themselves be, uhh… mentally capable of engineering scenarios to show off that genius. It’s easy to write a character that laughs maniacally while bloviating about uncovering the universe’s secrets, and it’s another thing entirely to write a character as a dangerous and Machiavellian manipulator.
@Krek
It would be kinda tragic if Twilight actually had been killed or captured and replaced by a changeling. But to what end would a changeling seek to take her place? Changelings feed on love, and Twilight’s subjects fear and despise her.
Oh my god. What if… what if “Crimson” Changelings feed on hatred?
I think I’m starting to see where this is going.
Again, it’s been speculated that Twilight here is not actually Twilight, but a changeling that has taken her place.
Remember back in the Canterlot Wedding episode where Twilight’s old babysitter, Candance, was acting all weird and hostile and such? Twilight thought she was being rude and evil, while everyone else thought that Cadance was acting that was because of pressure getting to her.
Turns out, it was a changeling would have taken her place.
Point is, it’s still a little early to say if the Twilight we see is really her or an impostor.
Our issue is not necessarily with her being evil but the WAY she’s being evil. For example, if someone made a story where Darth Vader ran around dropping nuclear bombs on every alien inhabited planet he saw and cackling like Ladd Russo as he did it, that would be called stupid. And rightly so, because while Vader is a villain he’s not THAT kind of villain. The same holds true here; the villainy Twilight displays and is said to have done does not match the kind of person she was in any way. A villain like Twilight, derived from Twilight, would be cold, rational, and efficient, not some Spy Serial version of Mengele. Hell, that’s why a lot of Tyrant Twilight stories suck, they focus on the Tyrant, not the Twilight.
Do wrong, right, is all I’m saying.
It would be a shock if it is meat
Regardless if it’s her, or not her dress is adorable.
BRB, building a device to transport myself to this comic’s universe.
Or wait, derp, she was one of the founding members. She also eventually went on to become an overmare. Hence why it’d make sense for her to be in that logo.
I think that mare is supposed to be Sweetie Belle. As per the story Sweetie Belle is the one who starts Stable-Tech, so it makes sense she’d be the somewhere in their logo.
that is exactly my issue with it. completely and entirely.
yep
Enough time to became evil.
@Exedrus
More like the mare in Overmare Studio logo.

@Exedrus
In the DA source, Gashi says the maid is not Sweetie.
It’s possibly a descendent, or reincarnation of her.
Note, the slightly more purple fur color.
Yep, this page indicates they’re currently at a time ~7years after Twi’s victory over the Crimson Changelings which occurred 973 years after her reign began (according to this page).
