The Former Emperor’s Shimmer.
Once an agent of evil, Sunset Shimmer has since renounced her old loyalties.
If the next Star Wars cosplay isn’t Twiluke Sparkle I will be legitimately shocked.

Now if we could only find our way there.
You know I’m fucking around, right? I’m making jokes!
>Never be a mom!
… If it give her a bod like THAT, then I hope no one ever takes your advise.
…They’re all fictional characters. None of them ever existed.
So?
I’m loving this Sunset interpretation :D
The Empire was pretty efficient at building big things even before it became the Empire. They were able to pump out enough Imperial class star destroyers to replace the majority of the Old Republic fleet within that time period too, and had time left over to practically finish 2-4 Executor class dreadnoughts as well.
*A moon.
It shouldn’t have been bugs slowing it down to begin with. It’s development time should have been purely the result of the fact that it’s the size of the moon.
@Darth Sonic
The construction bugs that made the first one take so long to build were already ironed out when they made the second one. And nothing in canon, that I’m aware of anyway, has removed Despayre as the construction site of DS-1.
Also, it should be noted that the second death star WASN’T completed. Priority was given to getting the main systems, including the superlaser, up and running, but as was plainly visible, it wasn’t done. If it had been, Emperor’s death or no, the Rebels would have been screwed, since the second one also had no exploitable weak points when completed.
The fact that the second one didn’t take a decade to build is the unbelievable part. The thing is the size of a small moon.
My thoughts exactly upon seeing that. Tarkin only gave the order; Lemelisk put pen to paper (and was presumably based directly on Albert Speer). Also, why does it now take decades to build, suddenly? And what about Despayre?
@Alanasolo
Not a terrible idea, I guess.
I don’t entirely disagree with this.
IronLiz was nowhere near as well read as her boyfriend. Nor did she wear a pretty hat.
Was she not aware of Bevel Lemelisk?
IMO there shouldn’t have been any more “episode films”, as the story of Darth Vader is done. Instead, why not alternate between a new story one year and an adaptation the next, all canon? Not every franchise has to reboot.
Hahah, I wish that IronLiz still had her Blip account up; she spent an entire episode of her three episode retrospective on a Star Wars tabletop RPG ranting at the prequels because Episode 2 invalidated the fact that Grand Moff Tarkin designed the Death Star. Even though in no way was he ever shown to be anything other than a pencil pushing colonial governor.
@whitestar60
No people, you do not want this.
At least, not as Episode VII-IX. As separate adaptions of the book, that’d be fine.
But actual Episode __ movies must be their own thing, above the books.
