I’m reminded of the animation in Neko Case’s “Maybe Sparrow” music video, yes I am. Really, it’s OK if it’s a bit jerky.

D’awww, I really like it! If anything, it’s a nice try! And the way you drew her is quite lovely.

If you had access to a scanner, it might improve the look of it, though you could alternatively crop and/or rotate them individually to try and align them so it doesn’t jitter so much. You could also try shining a light source onto it to try and make the lighting more consistent (or adjust the brightness, contrast and/or levels in a program if possible).

Increasing the frame rate (or shortening the frames) will also help to make it smoother, though watch the bits that change very suddenly between frames/pictures (like the tip of the tail and her mouth). Try and keep the frames/pictures consistent if possible (though I’ll admit doing this with traditional drawing methods can be more difficult, especially with colours).

Still, I understand it’s just an experiment (and I applaud you for trying this with traditional methods). And again, I adore the way you drew her. That pose and her fluffy, fuzzy fur, mane and tail just makes me wanna go in and give her a big cuddle! <3
