Realized there was no image of The Dazzlings doing the ‘Caramelldansen’ dance.
So, putting that right here.
The outfits the girls are wearing here are the same ones as the girls in the Caramell Dancing video.
Also, tried to get a bit of what the Dazzlings are thinking here in to their expressions.
Sonata, enjoying herself as usual. This seems her sort of thing.
Adagio, Enjoying herself, but embarrassed to admit it.
Aria, ‘I can’t believe I’m doing this’ face.
Getting those reactions in, whilst keeping the overall effect uniform was a challenge, but I think it worked.
So, putting that right here.

That was a little hard to decipher there, but I assume you mean the original Swedish version of Caramelldansen sold better in Japan than the English cover?
I believe that the Swedish version has words that sound very close to something else in Japanese, (don’t remember the exact details there), but that was why it was more popular.

well lol in swedish they really only have one song seem they sold of better in japan and on english

To be honest, I was thinking of doing a ‘squee!’ pic. (Did one of Sonata ages ago).
Think, hands curled in fists at either side of her face, huge eyes with massively dilated pupils, and the mouth similar to Sonata here.
It’s a simple picture, but effective.

If one of you wants to try to beat me to it, you’ve got several hours yet. I’ll be at work till 6, then I’ve got to sort my kids out for bed. So I’ll not get chance to draw anything until at least 9 tonight.

Yeah, I could see how the trails coming off their arms would be annoying. The static faces bother me a lot less there though, maybe because there’s less of a disconnect when everything is CG.
Yeah, it was a bit that way. Still thought it was better than the official video myself though.
It was the fact the girls’ arms seem to leave trace lines behind them on a lot of the video that put me off there more than anything else.
That and the faces aren’t mobile on those CG versions either.
Huh, interesting. I wouldn’t say the other song is bad or anything, but seeing frozen anime faces on live performers is really off-putting. Almost an uncanny valley sort of effect.
