It also from the fact that this Japanese animation style tends to make almost all of their characters look more feminine.

I do it sometimes too Jack-o, but I tend to do it when I have something other then shorts on, with shorts I pull then put then push them down a little, and my dad does it with shorts(that is when he has socks on with short).  
But what I’m saying here isn’t about this image.

What I mean RIG is of all the girlish like look of this, it’s the socks, being pulled up and not loose/oversize/baggy, that say girl to me.
