Wall of text inbound, but wanted to get this off my chest for years. If there’s typos, fuck you it’s after midnight here:
 
Twilight Sparkle… you embody everything I admire in a human, everything I’d strive or aim for and even your flaws and vulnerabilities only serve to make you more relatable and endearing.
 
When I started this show I felt an immediate bond and connection with you, I found you so relatable, even as the weak plot of the pilot left me unimpressed.
 
During those early days I couldn’t imagine why anyone would sexualize this show, except furries who were already close to this kind of thing already.
 
I mean the designs were cute and I guess they could make pretty humanization but that’s it.
 
Yet as I gathered images from this site (well Bronibooru, but close enough), cute and funny images, but something else. There was a community of a fetish I had that I hated, and I felt they needed to be trolled and loosened up. I initially viewed the combination of this and my fetish as no more than amusement or maybe something cute, but overtime it tugged at me and I couldn’t stay pure.
 
Were you a real person, I’d have done my best to curb those impulses, but you know what? You’re a fictional character. I don’t have to worry about your feelings or considerations. Better I do that than target anyone in he real world. I could hurt someone there, but here? What does it matter? At the end of a day a cartoon doesn’t give a fuck because its a cartoon and doesn’t actually exist.
 
So what do I care if some random guy on the internet with 50 hidden downloads that totally aren’t anything sexual you guys uses you as a mouthpiece to say that I shouldn’t? Who the dam hell am I hurting?
 
And yeah your fans appreciate your cute appearance, but its your personality that really gets ’em going.
 
The people who care most about the sexual integrity of fictional characters are usually the ones who do the least to help those in the real world.
