I was actually thinking about the latter, and I think that could make for an interesting scenario also, with Starlight filling Discord’s typical shoes in some sense, and him just minding his own business, but we’ll see.

Fair enough, but that’s exactly what I DON’T want to have happen, cause it paints Starlight in too much of a good light IMO.  
I think it would work much better if Discord instead chewed out the Mane 6 for instantly forgiving her while they kept him at an arms distance, or if he just straight up ignored Starlight while she’s constantly trying to get his attention.

It’s the Discord related stuff in your comment that concerns me above all else, I liked him and the way he was portrayed in Make New friends but keep Discord, but I really did not like him in What about Discord.
 
I wouldn’t mind a bit of playful confrontation between Starlight and him (not Discord being outright horrible) seeing as she’s new and he might want to prove he’s “the better friend” or something, that would be akin to MNFBKD in some ways but with unique spins in the mix, and it would further exhibit his desire to be a good friend, but also show his lack of understanding of friendship that he is still getting past, I think I’d like that.

I don’t mind Discord still acting that way, I just don’t want to see him used as a tool to make Starlight look good. Also I don’t want it to be another Three’s A Crowd, just with Twilight as Cadence and Starlight as Twilight.

It would be kind of funny if they stuck together spitting each other their ideas of chaos and order.  
Then again, under Discord´s rule everypony was equal. They were all beneath him. So, I guess they might understand each other.

Yeah not looking forward to this meet up, mostly cause I figure it’s going to be Starlight feeling all guilty and playing the woobie while Discord is going to act like a massive jerk and “need” to get his comeuppance, basically an episode where it’s going to say Starlight’s good, Discord’s still a prick.

Me too. Even though I find CMC-Discord interaction more interesting.

I’m looking forward to seeing these two meet, I’m sure it’ll be quite interesting.
