Would require air for the wings to do anything. A jet-pack like @ze
suggests might work, though. I’m sure there’s some sort of magic that could somehow substitute for either jet-pack or air or otherwise get around these problems.
If you consider the fact that Luna has wings and thus can accelerate while being pulled towards the center of the moon, this can work.
That being said, using a Kerbal’s jetpack is a viable way to escape the Münar surface, however, you can only achieve orbit if you have infinite fuel (ctrl+shift+alt+D)
No, you stop falling when you reach the surface on the other side. Remember that you still have momentum built up from your fall.
