I don’t usually mind the speedup PAL DVDs have, but for some reason MLP really irks me for it. The DVDs we have aren’t very good anyway since there’s no commentaries for RR and FG (and no deleted scenes for the latter) and no Blu Rays for either. I just want a great Blu Ray of MLP when the show’s finished (and for Shout Factory not to be dickheads and region lock it because there’s no way we’d be getting it in the UK if it ever happened).
 
The only good thing about the British DVDs are the covers and the fact that Season 2 also has Magic Duel and Sleepless in Ponyville on it (assuming you bought it at Sainsburys).

I bought the season 1 - season 3 dvd collections last year in the united states (and could have gotten 4 if I didn’t hold back). Are there any differences between these DVDs, or should I have shared mine a while ago? o.o

Australia has the first 91 episodes on DVD. Then again, we’ve never had them on TV here…

The season 2 dvd’s didn’t have speedup, nor did some of the season 1’s and the Rainbow Rocks dvd. I don’t mind watching speedup on Tiny Pop but I’m not paying my money for a DVD of it.

PAL videos are always sped up about 4% for technical reasons.
