Emerald looks at the small strands of his juices on the ground and quickly scuffs them into the dirt.
 
He then goes over to Giles and attempts to wake him. He calls his name a few times, and gives him a few pokes and prods, getting progressively stronger until he gives him a solid punch.

He doesn’t respond. Giles doesn’t seem to be waking up anytime soon. In fact, he seems to be rather comfortable if his snoring is any indication.
