To be fair just about every duo on the show has been boiled down to a very minimal dynamic in the last several seasons. Many of the episodes focusing on two characters follow the exact formula of previous episodes focusing on the same two characters.

I can think of like 10 better ship hugs. Really do not get the enduring popularity of AppleDash, like in the last 3 seasons I can count the scenes between them on one hand. It’s a very minimal dynamic that has almost nothing to it beyond “o they like to compete sometimes”.
 
Plus more than any other ship iv seen their shippers belittle and insult other ships, like Iv seen AppleDashers insult FlutterDashers and Rarijackers so many times.
