hi
I didn’t have a ban expiration. I’m very sorry about that, I didn’t know I was possibly necroposting.

Did you just have a ban expire or something? Cut it out with the drama thread necros, FFS.
I kinda understand what you mean. I saw one user do some stupid list on FiMFiction in which how they thought Celestia screwed up a bunch of times, I said a comment as in saying I thought some people looked too deeply into a kid’s show, not even insulting him, and he went to insult me, going so far as to say I was new to Planet Earth. He’s a real jackass too.
He wrote issues for the comic series.
I’m sorry, but I came back here to talk to Minus. I already gave you a lot of time and can’t see a productive way to carry that discussion further. If you address me again, expect it not to be acknowledged.
I guess if Whitley ever hit you up out of nowhere on Twitter or whatever to bitch you out about how horrible you are at your day job, it would, sure.
“Talk shit, get hit” goes both ways, then?
How “mature” is it to begin an exchange out of a clear blue sky with “By the way it’s really important to me that I tell you this thing you made sucks real bad” and then expect to receive thoughtful consideration in return? Someone asks a childish question in a bitchy, accusatory tone, they give up the right to cry about it when they get treated like a child.
I already said my piece on this to TexasUberAlles- Whitley’s response showed that he cared enough to block and insult the person who disliked his work, but not enough to try and understand why the complaint was being made in the first place. It was immature and it’s no way for a professional writer to act.
You can’t pretend Jeremy was replying to criticism when I can SEE the post he’s responding to. And that post is not criticism. If Jeremy is a bad person, then please use an actual post showing this. Don’t try to twist the real situation into something it isn’t.
Well, Meghan McCarthy also previously worked on Fish Hooks (though I don’t believe she was ever involved with Johnny Test)…
Link doesn’t work for me…
Man, Neal is a jerk.
…okay? I mean I get the feeling the now second weakest writer on the show, Williams, never really enjoyed writing for it that much or saw it as just another job. Just what it feels like. Dusedau feels like he thinks he’s being clever with his episodes but has substantially less talent than he thinks he does to pull the ideas off.
So what ya’ll are saying is if he was a game programmer he would have worked on King’s Quest?
…actually that seems about right.
I actually don’t have any angrypants favourite writers aside from Riehl, Furman, Moore, and Iain Banks
Most of my favourite writers be more like:
!
I just want to say how refreshing it is to see the term “begging the question” used correctly.
I actually think that it was victim of Dusedau’s typical “Well it makes sense to me, you must be stupid if you can’t see how this so obviously works” writing style. I get what he was trying to do, it was just handled very poorly and ignored a lot of stuff that came before it.
Basically, you know how a lot of writers are afraid of breaking the status quo and giving characters definite traits because of fear of stepping on toes of future episode writers? Dusedau is one of those that benefits from it because he can ignore everything and just spew out whatever.
I did too. It was more subtle than a lot of its detractors were willing to accept. Ending could have used a bit of work, though.
Thing is, a lot of my favourite writers and artists are unrepentant arseholes. It goes with the territory; artists are pretty volatile people, otherwise they wouldn’t be artists, but that means that they’ll tend to be fairly extreme in their views on all matters. Doesn’t change the quality of your art and I wouldn’t let a person’s views colour my appreciation of their works.
After all, the best roses grow out of shit.
That’s sad, I actually liked What About Discord.
Man, how did we get this guy coming from the same show as the guy who made “Jet fuel can’t melt steel beams” jokes and wrote two pretty good episodes?
