Tartarus is pretty much Greek hell. The other sections of the Underworld are varying degrees of better. Like the Land of Shades where neutral normal people go to, and Elysium, the section where people and heroes who lived a righteous and fufilling life went to spend their afterlife in paradise.

it has Cerberus and everything
and yes in tartarus you can go in and out that’s why Cerberus is guarding it, to stop the undead getting out
Hell is something for after your death. Tartarus so far has only been visited by those alive.
You can’t walk in and out of hell, so I’d call it a prison or possibly purgatory.
And, here I sit pondering what Tartarus is to these Ponies…
As for full circle. I’m hungry to see Nightmare Star, and pray that we don’t have to wait for the Movie for her to show up. (Though thats probably what the smart money says)
