It almost makes me wonder what would happen if they made a Shadow the Hedgehog game with the story being Sonic’s missing so they consider Shadow as the second option.
Not to mention they accidently killed Maria (though “accidently” is debatable for some fans) though maybe he feels he could do some good for the world by joining them.
