Answering only because I don’t want to leave you hanging with a question. I did use a reference. The drawthread starts with a list of them. You’re not wholly bad either, but might want a scanner or something, and try a few different eye designs. I prefer as much anonymity as as I can get. It’s kind of a spur of the moment, just enough comes together to let me sit down and draw sort of thing.
Digital is really useful for that, if you ask me. While I just took up drawing. The only advice I can give is perhaps use a reference when drawing. It will help you with the headshape (unless intentional due to style) and anatomy.
I don’t really know why you got so many down votes to be honest. All I do are show style practice sketches and they seem to be in the positive score so far.
Perhaps you should make a name, it will make tracking your progress easier.
But I do agree feedback is really important. Any ideas you have in mind to draw next time?
Digital, tablet, artrage. I find I love the erase tool- no more trying to erase and draw over wrongly placed lines- or have to work them into the picture. Such a load off. The only way to improve is practice… and the only way to improve the direction you’re going is feedback. Thanks, Yate.
