What I think is that it’s a variant of the Crystal War Timeline where Celestia had to effectively nuke the planet.

Fanfic idea: Just before Celestia Nuked the planet, Luna sent both herself and about a few hundred beings total of varying races (ponies, donkeys, Diamond Dogs, horses, and some good changelings,) and some of the remaining plant life to a specially-constructed city on the moon, where they’ll repopulate and return in a thousand years time to rebuild Equestrian from the ground-up.
 
(I would read the hell out of that story. SOMEBODY MAKE IT SO.)

What if IS someone going back in the time to stop Twilight to got wings? That would be when the time line of Fallout Equestria really starts LOLOL

I was already considering Fallout Equestria to be an alternative universe from a specific point in time being split, but now with the spell Starlight used it’s even easier to imagine as legit. Only, it’s not the right point in time being split. Twilight and the rest of the mane6 were friends in FOE so the sonic rainboom clearly happened for them. If the spell was the reason, it would’ve had to be someone else using the spell, preferably going back changing things sometime before Twilight got her wings.

Yeah, I didn’t see it in the episode either.

I seriously want to know what resulted in this timeline. The only thing I can think is, this was the one where all the villains fought each other, and the battle between Nightmare Moon, Chrysalis, Sombra, Tirek and whatever ancillary ones emerged resulted in the barren wasteland where nothing is left alive.

I checked the episode, the ‘ministry of peace’ poster is a photoshop.
