Oh geez, I must say I do make generic anime faces! ^^; with all the pictures I make, there happy, open mouth, big eyes, you know, the generic anime happy face, but that’s what I like! And that’s what makes me happy! :D
I like to make happy, cute anime art, nothing really sad or down or anything, I’m super positive :) so I do make the generic happy anime face!
And yes, My style is incredibly inspired by sakuranoruu! She’s my inspiration and favorite artist BY FAR! But I definitely do not re color anything! If you say that my faces and everything are the same as hers, then THANK YOU! Haha that’s what I’ve been trying to do for a long time because her style is perfection in my eyes! :) her MLP is what made me love her the most, and she doesn’t make any MLP art anymore, so I wanted to continue that. But honestly, I could never credit the style as my own! I’ve said various times and will continue to say that my work and style is by far only made because of her! ^^
Wouldn’t surprise me. I just googled it and it’s the exact same faces. Same jawline, same features, same everything. Just recolors of themselves.
If I recall right, I believe the artist said her art style was inspired SakuranoRuu’s.
You prove the point I am making by stating that “it looks like it could have come straight out of Kanon, Air, etc.” It’s a generic anime face specifically because you can tell it’s just taken straight off of the faces in other animes. There may be a little more sparkly detail in this image, but it’s the exact same face. Not only does this artist not know how to do more than one face, but this artist can’t even create his/her own style.

Wrong. “Generic” implies you wouldn’t be able to tell where it’s from. Not the case here. Artist is clearly a huge fan of Key/Visual Art’s. All of his stuff looks like it could have come straight out of Kanon, Air, etc.
Does artist have a problem differentiating faces? Yes. But it doesn’t diminish the quality of each individual piece.
