I was going to make a comment about magical lesbian impregnation spawn followed by two straight ships, but if he’s adopted then that kills that joke dead.
 
There’s so little Pipsqueak love, glad to see another picture where he gets paired up with one of the CMC. That’s an interesting patch of brown fur on his chest.

An adopted kid keeps their own name but gets the surname of their adoptive family. The artist is probably treating Apple as the surname, as they are the “Apple Family” after all.
