I didn’t say that the Changelings were evil, only Chrysalis.  
Yes, I do understand that they need to devour love in order to survive, that’s not evil in of itself, every predator ever needs to kill something in order to survive, that’s just the way things are.  
The reason why we root for the ponies is that we knew the ponies for far more time, besides, it’s a lot more scarier when what’s suffering can understand and think about the suffering than a animal, who just sees suffering as something bad happening to it.  
They don’t deserve death, but they failed to catch their prey, and thus, will be unable to sustain their bodies for too long.  
Well, or not, It’s my headcanon that they landed into the Dragon’s nest of Dragon’s Quest and fed on the jerkass dragons.  
Seriously, fuck those dragons, they’re assholes and a shame to REAL dragons.
