So this is what the poll winner is. A new ship with canon ponies and yes there will be a NG of these two. I am so happy to get 1000 watchers!!! I CRI Steven Universe Pearl (Freaking Out)
So why I ship them? Well, Starlight Glimmer is actually one of the best character developed villain in the show. She has a very uniques personality and my favorite part of her is that she uses the power of speech. Sure she used her magic to take away the Cutie Mark but not by force but through words. She convinced ponies that being equal is a good thing and it worked in an entire village because of words.
I can imagine her being all flirty with and also trying to get someone to like her by using words. And that pony is Donut Joe. Why him? It looks funny. He’s so confused. haha. If you noticed, Starlight has been making quite a few cameos in the past few episodes stalking the mane 6 and all. I like to think that she also bumped into Donut Joe while watching Twilight at the shop and taking up an interest in him. (SPOILER) I don’t know if this will happen but I think she’ll become good by the end of season 5. The season 5 poster has been leaked with silhouettes of a few characters and one in particular happened to have the same of hers standing beside Twilight looking all happy and stuff. I dunno. Just a thought.

Word from TVTropes says Draco in Leather Pants came from the mass slew of fanfics that depict Draco as constantly comforting and defending that filthy mud-blood Hermione from Ron the Death Eater’s raw, unfiltered evil.
I think the Trope means forgetting a character is evil/ an asshole because they look hot/ sexy/ cute. Or other factors (e.g Some heel wrestlers because they are good wrestlers, the Empire form Star Wars because they have a kickass theme and cool looking designs etc..)
That’s probably an aspect, but I always thought it also meant making the conclusion he was alright because leather.
I thought the Trope came from people forgetting that Draco was a giant asshole because he looked good in leather?
Leather pants would imply she’s being portrayed as actually good.

We shall make her a Draco in a nice silk dress then!
Why must we give adorable villains leather? It might look sexy, but it can be very uncomfortable, and not good to wear on hot days.

You can imagine how uncomfortable leather pants would make her. If you must make her wear something, make sure it’s loose-fitting and is made of a breathable fabric.
