As someone who rarely battles competitively against other players, and therefore has never had any issues rolling out a team of solid offense to super-effective my way to victory because I’ve only ever fought similar straightforwards players, the idea that something could actually cause a problem for me by trying to prolong the battle until I gave up but doesn’t have a way to survive or counter simply being hit really hard is just baffling :V I think, “its not like a FEAR strategy that would turn my pure offensive strategy against me? So what’s the problem?” :P

Firstly, this strategy isn’t limited to Slowbro. Any Pokemon that can learn Recycle, has some sort of self-healing move, can use Heal Pulse, Pain Split or Fling, and has some way of preventing your opponent from switching(tho you can just as well hold opponent’s last Pokemon hostage), will do. And it’s just the methods I am aware of.
Secondly, well…of course this isn’t a sure-fire strategy (since it’s used primarily against defensive Pokemon), pretty much nothing is. Sending Shadow Tag Gothitelle against Latios isn’t a very good idea, sending Bisharp to Pursuit Trap Conkeldurr is a definition of suicide…even Mega Rayquaza, overpowered abomination that it is, isn’t unbeatable, because some strong Dragon or Fairy with Focus Sash or defensive Mega Mawile can still wreck it.
It doesn’t change the fact that when used correctly, this strategy turns the battle into contest of patience, and is basically trolling in purest form.

I dunno, its special defense and health aren’t anything amazing. Seems like you could murder it pretty easy with some solid, STAB electricity, grass or ghost (which can switch regardless of Block because ghost) as long as you can take off at the very least 60% of its health per shot even assuming its only a 5PP move that you haven’t used one of the absurd numbers of PP Ups you end up getting when you check the lottery every day. It also has no defense against being put to sleep, paralyzed, flinched, etc. Inflict it with Toxic and all stalling is going to do is slightly delay the inevitable.

Plus it has to Block on the first turn so if you’re faster and can do at least 50% of its health, ppbbbht.

The rest of the moveset is Block, Slack Off, and Heal Pulse, Ability Oblivious. Basically, it’s a strategy of making the battle last forever, or at least until someone forfeits- Block doesn’t allow the opponent to switch, Slack Off heals all damage done to you, Recycle and Leppa Berry means endless PP, and Heal Pulse heals the opponent from Struggle when he losses all his PP. And before you ask- no, you can’t just Taunt Funbro, because Oblivious.
Here you can see how it works.
All one hundred and sixty four turns of it.

In an interview with Masamitsu Hidaka in 2008, it was explained that the GS Ball was originally going to contain a Celebi that was to be the star of a large arc of the Johto saga. However, it was decided that Celebi would be the star of the fourth movie, so the story arc was viewed as redundant and shelved. The ball was left with Kurt with the hopes that viewers would eventually forget about it.

As much as I like Brock I’m glade they didn’t keep him around constantly, I know there are a lot that do not like Tracey and the reason he got put is was really stupid(the anime staff thought Brock might be seen as raciest for some reason) but I like that he was the to give us a brake from Brock.
For that same reason I’m glade Misty wasn’t around for as long as he was.
Because of this I think there reason some long time fans are not getting not like Ash is from how him always being there doesn’t allow for any consistent growth to his character, Brock and Misty have grown and even in there time away from Ash so I think that is why people still love them even if they start to not like Ash.
