“Oops! Oh no, I’m so sorry!” Twilight stammered, floundering about. In her panic, she released her magical hold on the old tome, and it fell to the ground with a resounding thud that shook the small pegasus to her bones.
An interesting start to the night, to say the least. Fluttershy had not expected Twilight on this quiet night, so the knock on the door had surprised her. Of course, it would’ve been exceptionally rude of her to turn a friend away, and an even less accommodating host if she were to turn down her impromptu guest’s odd request.
It wasn’t terribly surprising to her that Twilight had been up so late, or even that she had wanted to experiment with a new spell book she had stumbled across. But it was a bit off-putting to be so bluntly asked to be the experiment target on a selection of some of these spells. How could she say no? She was the host, after all. And, of course, she knew her friend Twilight would never do anything that could put her in any form of danger.
However, being shrunk to a tenth of her size was certainly a turn for the unexpected.
Twilight quickly shook her head to clear her thoughts, and leaned her head down close to Fluttershy to better examine her. “I-i-it was supposed to be an emotional manipulation spell, I’m so sorry Fluttershy, this wasn’t supposed to happen!”
Oddly enough, Fluttershy felt oddly calm, and placed a gentle hoof on Twilight’s nose. “Oh, no, don’t worry. It’s, um… it’ll be fine. I’m sure you can figure out how to fix it, of all ponies.” She gave a warm smile, but because of her small stature at the moment, she was unsure of how reassuring it was.
Twilight, still looking worried, nodded and picked her head up. She paused, and took a deep breath, closing her eyes and calming herself down. “Of course, you’re right. All I need to do is flip through the book, and I’m sure there’s a reversal spell. There has to be!” She levitated the book and began quickly flipping through it’s tarnished pages, muttering to herself.
Fluttershy looked around and scuffed a hoof along the floor. Being small was an interesting feeling, and it certainly put a new perspective on things, to put it lightly. At the very least, she couldn’t say it was unenjoyable.
She turned back to Twilight, as she loudly exclaimed. “Ah-ha! I found it!” After the exclamation, her happiness quickly faded as she looked closer at the page. “Oh… but I need acting reagents… Hmm… Nothing terribly uncommon…” She began pacing around the living room, levitating the book in front of her face as she continued to speak.
“Fluttershy, I need to borrow one of your outfits, if that’s okay. It says I need something from when you were regular sized…” Fluttershy nodded, with a slight moment of hesitation. After spending a moment in this size, she was beginning to like it more by the passing moment. Twilight glanced at Fluttershy, and noticing the nod, returned the motion and rushed upstairs. “I’ll be back in a flash!”
Fluttershy was unsure of what to do in the meantime, so she took into the air and flew herself over to the coffee table, and walked among the giant tea ware. She smiled to herself. It was nice to be the size of all her little furry creatures for once.
“Uhh, Fluttershy…” Twilight called from the top of the stairs, Fluttershy turned around as Twilight walked down the steps, and her face turned into a blazing red. In Twilight’s telekinetic grasp were her bondage stirrups, something that she had hoped that none of her friends would ever stumble across or find. Easily her deepest-kept secret. She couldn’t even bother to look at Twilight or the stirrups, and she tried her best to look away and hide behind her wings.
“Fluttershy.” Twilight’s voice echoed with an authoritative tone that the timid pegasus wasn’t ever used to. As if through hypnotism, she snapped her head up to look at Twilight, and found herself unable to look away, as if transfixed by her sudden domineering persona. Twilight immediately took notice, and a malevolent grin crossed her lips.
“I’m going to assume you didn’t have any future plans for this evening, did you?”
