Define “Real Music” and maybe we’ll have a discussion going. Thing is “Real Music” has to be considered “Real” by the listener for the listener to call it “Real Music”. Now from a specific standpoint, is it all music? What perspective can I see from in order to consider it all music, if it all is? There may be what I’d call “Dangerous Music” which I’d recommend staying away from.

… So anyway. I’m listening to The Dukes of Stratosphear - “Have You Seen Jackie?” if it has any relevance.

Two steps from hell. Once you hear their albums, you start hearing them in shows and commercials.

And not the angry kind
Because I have really eccentric tastes in music, mostly Miracle of Sound, some Vocaloid, a good bit of classical or soundtrack, and a mish-mash of unsorted miscellany from other groups I don’t normally particularly follow.

Because it’s a vague one hit wonder band from the 60s? Who apparently is only relevant through a single drum solo in one of their songs. Most people who would know of them, know of them through their popular drum solo, and would have to know that drum solo to recognize it in the first place.
-There’s so much out there no one can know it all. There’s still several major bands I need to listen too, but just haven’t gotten there yet.
Ichijoe
Duck - Shills for Shillary

Come back when you’ve listened to some Robert Johnson, and Lead Belly… (Blues)
Or Ellington, Armstrong, Goodman etc… (Swing)
Then latter on to the likes of Little Richard, and Chuck Berry.

This son is the basis of what constitutes “Good Music”!
Some asshat hammering out a “Beat”… Not so much….

Gas Loving Baritone Butt
Cause I’m too busy jamming out to Lemon Pipers’ “Green Tambourine”. And the soundtrack to Stardust and Super Stardust on the Amiga. And Madness Combat 4’s “Apotheosis”. And Jesper Kyd’s body of work on the Genesis. And Queen.

Basically I’ve already got enough stuff to listen to.

The Winstons were a one hit wonder from the 60s, and their song “Amen Brother” includes one of the most prominent drum solos that is sampled in electronic music until this day, the “Amen Break”.

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

You’ve got me wrong, I like all kinds of (more often than not, obscure,) music. ‘m not terribly opposed to listening to something I haven’t heard of before.
