I just got to point out that it says “la meme” in that and that dumb-ass part of my brain is having a chuckle while the other part knows full well that’s not what it was trying to do.

And then there’s this thing (kinda weird mind you).  

Legs are a bit off to be sure, but I can look past it because I think Fosgitt is one of the best artists working on these comics. He has such a wonderfully appealing art style that matches the tone the franchise wants to go for.

The big problem is that Celestia’s mannerisms even are extremely bipedal. I mean next page she’s leaning over her knee like a human would.

Well, there’s been a lot of people saying the like Fosgitt’s art, but objecting to how Celestia’s being posed in these pages, so it’s not just the people who say the comics are mostly/irredeemably awful. Granted, the Fosgitt fans are saying things along the lines of “Well, that’s wonky”, while the Fosgitt haters are going “Anatomical horror! How does he still have a job??”
 
I think a strong case can be made that this is less a case of being “anatomically incorrect” as of being “too human-like to fit a pony”.

Oh, c’mon now.

While I do think the legs are a little wonky, it’s nothing to lose sleep over. Also, the wings should be folded.

That is technically true. Considering characters from the show actually often sit in a similar pose (and I don’t mean just Lyra) and people don’t lambaste the show runners the same way as they do the comic artists, the only thing I’d maybe consider ‘anatomically incorrect’ would possibly be Celestia’s back posture. But then again, with how her wings cover up most of her torso, it’s hard to tell.
 
Again, this is mostly just people who hate the comics jumping on any little detail they can to go ‘see! the comics are horrible!’ without considering this is nothing the show hasn’t done a dozen times before.

If Jay Fosgitt can’t draw, then you should be able to draw as well as he does, right? Or at least reasonably close?

Yeah but at least they can draw.

At least it stil has the correct amount of joints, unlike a lot of other art.

Look, I like Fogsitt’s art style. It’s unique, cute, and cartoony.

Well, I don’t see it. Aren’t a horse’s bones identical to ours? Alignment, I mean, not length. It’s just that horses stand on their “toenails”, right?

Being a shameless Jay Fosgitt fan, I gotta say I’m loving this despite/because of its weirdness.

another thing, the real tragedy of this pic is that it took MORE effort to make it look this wonky than it would’ve to pose her correctly, if fosgitt stopped drawing the back legs around the knees Celestia would’ve just seemed “kinda small” and no one would’ve made a big deal about it.

Agreed. It doesn’t strike me as, ahem, anatomical horror (I thought subjective tags were discouraged, but whatever), but just weird and wrong enough to throw my brain off-stride while reading the comic.
 
Though I’ll admit that, after all the complaints about him slipping into non-pony-style artwork, something like this still getting published is worrying.

I agree with JP and Jakcspellgood, I like the comics, and although not my favorite I still like this artist, but this is inexcusable, this is an unbearably sloppy blunder on the artist’s part.  
Also for the haters who are like “blah blah, more proof the comics suck, blah blah” you should know that this isn’t indicative of the usual quality of the comic, that’s why it’s stirring up such a reaction.

I usually like Fosgitt’s style, but this… no.

Speaking as someone who doesn’t have any real issues with the comics and normally wouldn’t even complain if I DID…
